Delaware Bill Clarifies Registered Agent Requirements

July 23, 2018

Effective July 17th, 2018 House Bill 404 (Chapter 334) clarifies Delaware business entity statutes to state that registered agents are obligated to comply with requirements, standards, guidelines, rules, regulations and procedures issued by the Secretary of State when involving filings for corporations, partnerships, and LLCs. Thus, the Secretary of State can adopt requirements regarding verification of customer entities.
