Nebraska Legislative Updates – September 2020
September 18, 2020Nebraska Governor Pete Ricketts has recently signed Article 9, business organization and lien-related legislation as shown below.
LB 910, signed on 8/6/2020, changes the fees charged by the Secretary of State for UCC, EFS and business entity services. The bill increases the fees in most cases and provides for higher fees if a record is communicated in writing. Committee assignment is pending. The new law takes effect on 7/1/2021

LB 808, signed on 8/15/2020, includes provisions for ratification of defective corporate actions under the Model Business Corporations Act. The ratification provisions of the new law take effect on 7/1/2021.
