  • Ficoso Rebrand

What is your legal company name and has it changed? Our legal entity name remains First Corporate Solutions, Inc. We are merely adopting Ficoso as our abbreviated brand name from May 2026 onwards.
  • What does your logo represent? Our icon mark features data sliders and an action dot, reflecting our commitment to providing reliable data insights. The sliders symbolize the complex data flows that power our portal, allowing customers to execute searches, complete filings, and activate robust monitoring within minutes. The foundational action dot represents our role in aggregating that complexity into a streamlined experience. It signifies our commitment to pinpoint accuracy, providing you the reliable clarity you need to make confident business decisions.
  • What do the your brand colors represent? Our fresh brand identity and the purple color scheme are carefully designed to show the fusion of innovation and long-time expertise that are at the core of who we are. We leverage the latest technology to deliver you the insights you need, while remaining approachable and bringing the warmth of our character to each interaction. Aquamarine is our dynamic action color that brings clarity to your workflows and reflects the accurate & reliable data that is required for you to take action and drive your business forward.
  • As a client, does this impact my documents, billing, contracts or reports? There is no major impact to existing documents, and our billing details remain the same. No revisal will be necessary to existing contracts since our legal entity name remains unchanged. In the coming weeks, you’ll notice that the reports you receive via email have received a rebranded facelift, but their structure and content will remain the same.
  • Will you still offer all the same products and services? Yes, there are no changes to our service offering and you will continue working with the same dedicated customer service team. We remain as committed as ever to provide you the same high-quality responsive customer service that we have become known for.
  • Does this change impact filings I’ve submitted with “First Corporate Solutions, As Representative” No, there is no impact to existing filings submitted under our Secured Party Representation Service (SPRS). The service remains unchanged and filings will continue to be submitted as “First Corporate Solutions, as representative” for the clients that are subscribed to that service.
  • Solutions

Is there a web UI that shows test data we submit for filings? Yes, you can verify the data entered is appearing in the right places on the UCC filing documents by visiting the companion website tied to the sandbox data.
  • What options do you have for receiving my monitoring alerts? Monitoring alerts are both emailed and viewable in the portal. You can also filter to see all alerts within a given date range, and sort, filter, or export that data.
  • How many users can I have on my profile? You can have as many users as you like
  • Do State level searches also cover county-level UCCs? Unfortunately, each state and county only handle their own indexes. However, if you need to complete a more in-depth search at both levels, you can reach out to your Client Services Specialist, who can walk you through your specific situation and find the solution best for you.
  • How can I begin setting up an API? Reach out to us or schedule a consultation so we can understand which integration(s) would best suit your needs, and we will provide support and access to our API documentation so you can get started. We have a convenient sandbox environment so that you can fully test it out first.
  • Can we search in all 50 states at once? Each state holds different indexes so while you can search in all states with Ficoso, it may not be cost effective to search in all states at once.
  • Pricing

How does pricing work for your UCC services? Our experts partner with you to find the best and most cost-effective solutions for your company. Our customers only pay for the mix of services that they need with no monthly base fee. Subscription pricing is a great option for clients with high search volumes.
  • What is the cost to integrate with Ficoso? There is no base or setup fee to integrate with Ficoso. Charges will be applied per call based on the type of service requested.
  • Will my cost vary depending on amount of users? No, there is no additional cost for additional users since we bill based on usage i.e. completed transactions.
  • Do you have setup fees or monthly minimum costs? We have no startup cost or monthly minimum for siging up for our services. Customers signing up for a search subscription package will have a flat monthly rate.
  • Secured Party Inquiry

What information should I include to get the lien against me removed? Unfortunately, we have no control over removing the lien against you, as it was filed by another party, and we are only representatives of said party. That being said, in most cases, we can help you find the party that filed the lien against you and would need the following information submitted through the form on our Secured Party Inquiry page:

    Required information:
    • Debtor name
    • State the UCC is filed in
    • Contact information of the party that wishes to receive a reply

If possible, providing the following information as well helps us to discover the details of your specific case faster:
    • Document number
    • Date filed
    • Any additional notes or comments
  • Can a UCC filing be terminated by the debtor? Yes, as long as there is no existing obligation to the lender and one follows a specific process. The process for debtors to terminate their UCC filing is provided in the Uniform Commercial Code and can be found in Section 9-513 of the Uniform Commercial Code.
  • Is Ficoso’s representation service in compliance with UCC code? Yes, under the Revised Article 9, UCC Section 9-502(a)(2), a financing statement must provide the name of the secured party or representative of the Secured Party. The code allows “a representative” of the secured party to appear on the UCC financing statement.
  • Can I call you to speed up the process? The fastest way to get a response is to fill out and submit the inquiry form on our Secured Party Inquiry page. We do not recommend calling, as our client service representatives do not have access to any information about the Secured Party.
  • How long will a response take? After you submit a fully completed form, we’ll be in touch within one business day with a response. Our clients are notified within an hour of receipt of your inquiry, and it’s their responsibility to reply directly to the inquiry.
  • How can I contact the Secured Party if I don’t know who it is? Send an inquiry via our Secured Party Inquiry page and we will forward all authenticated requests to the Secured Party immediately. It is the Secured Party’s responsibility to contact you directly with details about the lien. All inquiries can be submitted online in the form above.
  • Can you tell me who the Secured Party is? In most cases, we can disclose the identity of the Secured Party directly to debtors after we have verified their identity through an inquiry form submission. We cannot disclose identities to third parties due to our client confidentiality agreements.
  • What is Ficoso’s responsibility with the lien? Per our agreement with our clients, we are required to issue an email notification to the Secured Party for inquiries on any UCCs for which Ficoso is the representative. Our responsibility is to pass information on to the Secured Party. Ficoso does not have the authority to release any liens.
  • Who is Ficoso and why are they involved? We are the filing service for the lien. Our clients utilize our website to create filings, like UCC Financing Statements, and upon submission, we record the filing in the jurisdiction requested. Our goal with this form is to confirm the identity of the debtor and help them get into contact with the Secured Party.
  • Who filed a lien against me? Generally, the lien is filed by an equipment dealer, factor, or other lender (also referred to as a Secured Party) with whom you may have inquired. First Corporate Solutions is representing the client only and has no interest in the lien. We recommend you consider recent inquiries you may have had with equipment dealers, factors, or other lenders around the file date of the UCC and follow up with them directly for further clarification.
  • Developer Resources

Is there a test environment? Yes. Ficoso provides a free test API “sandbox” where developers can experiment and test their software without incurring charges. Access to the sandbox continues from the start of development and for as long as you use our API service in production, so that you can make future enhancements to your software and test before deployment.
  • Why are there two sets of credentials for authentication? The API may be integrated with commercial software licensed for others to use or integrated directly into proprietary software developed by the end-user. The first credential identifies the integrator and system from which the API requests are made, and the second is the billable entity. This allows the transactions to be directly billed to the user, even when using the service within a commercially licensed software product.
  • Does the test environment use real data?
No. For searches, the API uses a subset of unchanging real-world data limited to California. It’s the largest data set, and by keeping this data static, development teams can establish automated test procedures and receive consistent results over time. California is known as the “Golden State” and so searches on “Golden*” will always turn up many results.
For filing, the API accepts fictional filings determined by the developer, then mimics status such as acceptance and rejection to model real-world situations, without actually filing anything at a jurisdiction. You can create filings, set their status to Preparation (submitted to Ficoso, but not ready to go to the jurisdiction), Pending (in the process of being filed at a jurisdiction), or Recorded (already filed at the jurisdiction). We will retain your test data.
For monitoring, targets may be added or deleted, and alerts are limited in scope to provide the necessary functionality for testing, but while the alert format is correct, the data on the alert will not match the fictional targets created by the developer.
  • Can offshore developers develop against your API? Ficoso automatically blocks IP addresses from foreign countries that frequently pose security threats. If your developers are outside the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom, we can create IP-specific exceptions so they can access the test and production servers.
  • Is there a web UI that shows test data we submit for filings? Yes, you can verify the data entered is appearing in the right places on the UCC filing documents by visiting the companion website tied to the sandbox data.
  • Our firm is a commercial software developer, not an end-user. Can we integrate FCS’ API to give our end-users access to public records from within our application? How does licensing work? Absolutely! Our API can support a variety of strategies for offering public records access through commercially licensed software. Typically, we establish a direct relationship with the end-user and direct bill them, so you don’t have to front the charges for the transactions. We can also bill you and provide a transaction report by end-user so you can either bundle access to our data with other data as part of your service and support offering, or bill end users on a transaction basis.
  • Support

How can I reach the customer support team? If you are a client or in the onboarding process, the best way to get support would be to reach out to your dedicated client support specialist with any questions or issues. If you are not a client or in the process of becoming a client, the best way to reach out would be via our Schedule a Consultation page to schedule a call with a Sales Representative, our Contact Us page for general inquiries, and our Secured Party Inquiry page for more information on a lien placed against you. We check these inboxes regularly and usually will respond within a business day. Alternatively, you can give us a call at 800.406.1577 for help with any of your questions.
