Mississippi Secretary of State’s Office will No Longer Accept UCCs With Attachments

Beginning on Monday, June 11, 2018, the Mississippi Secretary of State’s Office will no longer accept for filing any UCC documents with attachments. All collateral descriptions or any other information may be entered in the collateral box provided on the UCC forms in the online filing system. The entry of any Social Security number or Tax ID number in the collateral fields will invalidate the filing and prevent its submission. UCC filing customers are urged by the state to review their filing practices and adjust accordingly.
Again, UCC documents with attachments will no longer be accepted by the Mississippi Secretary of State’s Office.
